Personality: Nanatsue is a bit unpredictable. He likes to keep to himself but also likes to have attention. He spends his time practicing swordsmanship or reading books from all over the world (easy access, what with all the foreigners coming in). Nana likes to keep is ego healthy, so every now and then, when he feels it has been wounded, he'll get a little cocky.

Fighting Style:
Fighting Style: The Minamoto Clan developed a sword style that reflected natural, fluid movements. Conventional katana held them back so they traded the swords for custom ones that were shaped like a wave. The sword then was able to be used to its full extent. Nanatsue uses one of these curved blades, but also keeps a straight sword on his belt. It holds many purposes but the main two are for walking (as a cane) and fighting (as a sword). Nanatsue has studied a multitude of swordstyles from the books he has read and only expects to learn more after having entered the tournament. His main techniques come from the Minamoto Clan's 天の恵み (Heaven's Grace) sword style, but his version is slightly more aggresive, and a parody of western fencing.

Weapon: He uses one Minamoto curved blade called "Moon Song" and a long straight sword within a cane.

Background: Nanatsue is Katsue's younger twin brother, and the seventh born in his family (hence the name). Like his brother, Nanatsue hails from the famous Minamoto Clan of Japan, a famous clan that has been the subject of many a story as they had battled the rival Taira clan in the 12th century. His father is a daimyo and his mother is an ex-geisha (his father bought her freedoms). He has nine sisters and one brother, whom he is currently traveling with. He is the guardian the clan and is given the task of protecting his older brother night and day. Even though Katsue brushes this rule aside and puts himself on equal grounds as Nanatsue, Nana still feels the sting of jealousy.

His family is one of the few that practice Christianity in Japan. They picked up the religion when his father was found on the battlefield, wounded and near death, by a European missionary. The missionary told Nanatsue's father that it was God who had let him live and that to thank him it would be wise to follow the Lord's path. Thus, Nanatsue and his older brother started the group known as the Sons of the One King.

Not too long ago, while Nana was hunting with his uncle, they encountered a large beast. It stood on it's hind legs and swiped at the two men. They fought with the beast, but it kept giving chase. Finally, Nanatsue slashed at the beast with his sword, using all his might and cut the beasts head off. In the process though, the fur-covered monster ripped its claws across his chest. Nana carries those scars now with pride instead of shame. They are his proof of felling a monster. Nanatsue fights to become the strongest fighter in Japan and to become the most famous warrior in all of the Minamoto Clan's history.
